Man beheads wife over sex performance remark

Ukrainian police have detained a retired special forces officer who killed his wife. The man, whose mental health is being questioned, cut the woman’s head off in bed after she told him he was not her best ever.

According to the investigation carried out by police in the city of Donetsk, the couple had just had sex when the wife told her husband that every man she had slept with before him was more fun in bed than he, Kriminal.tv website reports Thursday.

The statement infuriated the man, who had been suffering from anger management problems since coming back from war.

He grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman repeatedly, until she was dead, and then cut her head off.

Finally, he threw the decapitated body from the balcony of their apartment on the fourth floor, and hurled the head as far as he could into the nearby park.

When the police arrived at the scene of crime, they had no trouble identifying the ex officer's apartment, as the balcony and the wall below it were heavily stained with blood, Kriminal.tv reports.

According to the investigators, the man, who took part in military operations in the Muslim Caucasus, had probably been influenced by the stories he heard about Muslims punishing their unfaithful wives by decapitation. The idea must have become his obsession, they say.

At any rate, he needs to be tested for sanity, the investigators say, as the war badly damaged his mind.
