Moscow thief steals Sophie Ellis Bextor’s $5,000 earrings

Singer Sophie Ellis Bextor has fallen prey to a Moscow thief, who stole the star’s earrings, worth $5,000, from her hotel suite.

Ellis Bextor arrived in Russia to do a show at the opening of the Summer Fair 2009, a luxury products exhibition, Life.ru writes.

However the singer’s mood was badly spoiled before the concert, as she realized that while she had been having breakfast somebody had rummaged through her things.

The thief took a pair of expensive earrings, a gift from Sophie Ellis Bextor’s boyfriend, nearly reducing her to tears.

However she showed none of her feelings as she went on stage later that night, the press reported.
