Daughter of Saddam adviser arrested in Moscow for murder

A young Iraqi woman was taken into custody yesterday in a working-class neighborhood of Moscow on suspicion of murdering the landlord of her apartment. According to police sources, the woman, identified only as Fasail, is the daughter of an advisor to former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, Gazeta.ru writes.

The 20-year-old allegedly killed the elderly man with several blows to the head with a barbell during a quarrel on May 13. The victim died sometime later and the perpetrator fled the scene of the crime.

Investigators found that the woman had been living in Moscow illegally since 2007.
